Team Green closer to whitewash India

PAKISTAN-VS-INDIA

New Delhi: India lured to face first series whitewash in 29 years by archrival Pakistan as their wickets continued to fall like ripe mangoes in 3rd One-Day match.

Team India could only score 167 runs in 43.4 overs in 3rd ODI played at Played at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, Delhi on Sunday.

With this low score the chances for Pakistan have increased to whitewash current world champions of cricket who had their last whitewash when they lost five ODIs to the West Indies between October and December 1983.

Ajmal, Hafeez shine on number one spot

DUBAI: Pakistan’s Muhammad Hafeez has jumped to number one spot in ICC ODI ranking for all rounder while off-spinner Saeed Ajmal also occupied the top spot, Geo News reported Monday

According to ICC ranking issued after the end of Pak-Indo series, both the Pakistani players strengthen their positions with Hafeez securing 428 points in all-rounder ranking while Bangladesh’s Shakibul Hassan remained at the second.

Saeed Ajmal jumped to number one in ICC bowlers ranking while Hafeez grabbed the second position.

There was no Pakistani batsman in the top ICC players with Umar Akmal plunging to number 16.
